Diagnosis: FREE
- This fee is waived if the completed repair is greater than $65.00
- It’s $50 if customer chooses not to complete the repair after diagnosis.
Circuit Card/Drive install: $30 + Parts
- Installation of most computer cards such as Network, Modem, USB and Video cards.
- Customer to provide the hardware and all the software drivers. Otherwise the costs of the material will be added.
Computer Peripheral Install & Setup: $30
- This includes printers, camera and most other USB devices provided by the customer.
Create a Restore CD/DVD From Working Computer: $40 + Parts
- Computer must be in good working order. This is an emergency boot/repair disk used to resolve minor issues.
Data Backup/Restore Services: $65.00 + Parts
- This does not include any hardware replacement. If new hardware is needed, then the costs of the material will be added.
- If the operating system has to be reloaded to complete the restore, the customer will provide that legal data and it’s associated keys. Otherwise we will need to add the costs of replacement media.
- Sometimes the vendor of the computer will install a copy of the factory software on another partition. If this data is still intact, we can use that to bring your computer back to a fresh factory copy. In this case there wouldn’t be any additional charges.
Memory Upgrade or Replacement: $30 + Parts
- Most memory upgrades are a matter of replacing the old memory with memory of greater capacity. Sometimes there are spare memory slots on the system board that would allow the addition of the new/extra memory. If all the memory slots are filled then some of the old memory will have to be removed to allow the addition of the new memory. So in a way, you would lose a bit of memory to gain a lot more. Memory can be provided by the customer or added for an additional charge.
Microsoft Operating System Upgrade/Repair: $65 + Software
- We will load a legal copy of customer provided software with keys to overwrite or upgrade most Windows computers. If the software is not provided, we will provide whats needed for an additional charge.
- A completely reloaded computer will function as if you just bought it from the factory. A upgrade should continue to function as before. Just be aware that some application software might have to be upgraded to make it compatible with the upgraded operating system.
Customer data retrieval form a crashed computer: $65 + Software & Hardware
- Sometimes you just don’t care to have the computer fixed. If you could only retrieve the pictures, contacts and documents off the crashed device. Depending on the extend of the damage, we might be able to either make backup DVD’s or transfer that data to another hard drive. This could require special software and hardware at an additional cost.
Power Supply Replacement: $40 + Parts
- Customer will supply replacement power supply or we can at an additional charge.
Software Application install: $30 + Software
- We will install most any legal software provided by the customer. Otherwise we can provided it at an additional cost.
Virus/Spyware/Adware Removal: $75 + Parts
- We will attempt to remove most every virus and return your computer to normal operations. We will also add Anti-Virus protection to the cleaned disk drive. If the virus is just too invasive, we will be forced to reformat and reload your computer to it’s factory operating system. The customer will then have to provide a legal copy of the operating system and keys or we can provide it for an additional charge.
General Software Troubleshooting: $65/Hour + Parts
- This service would include things like strange abbreviations of some applications and just general slow computers.
- Just be aware that most of the time, a slow computer is caused by some software that got loaded, maybe long ago that is eating up your computer resources and the only solution would be to remove it completely. If any replacements software is needed, it can be purchased at additional costs.
General Hardware Troubleshooting: $50/Hour + Parts
- Hardware issues include the complete computer, monitor and keyboard.
On Location visit: $65/Hour + Parts
- Sometimes the only way to resolve an issue is to be on-sight. This is normally to resolve Internet/Network or hardware issues.
GENERAL POLICY STATEMENT: All the above is just a sample of our charges. You will receive a quote before any work is started. If for some reason the repair will go over our agreed upon quote we will contact the customer to discuss the issue. Hourly charges are rounded up to the nearest 1/2 hour.
